Book workshop ticket

On September 11, I’ll be leading a four-hour workshop on implant development in Rust at BSides Frankfurt.

The workshop will cover the following topics:

  • A brief introduction to Rust
  • Addressing typical problems in shellcode development and their solutions
  • PE header parsing
  • Building shellcode loaders
  • Implementing your own implants
  • How some common evasion techniques work (indirect syscalls and obfuscation).

The workshop will focus on the implementation of implants rather than general library design. The necessary building blocks will be provided. A Docker development container for cross-compiling Rust will also be provided.

Prerequisites

  • Basic knowledge of Rust is helpful but not required.
  • A Windows VM with x64dbg.
  • A way to transfer files to and from the VM.

Tickets

The BSides Frankfurt conference takes place on September 10. If you don’t have a ticket yet, you should get one soon. It’s well worth attending!
